There actually is a right way to grow your company.  It involves knowing that your planning is solid and then doing the things you have to do to accomplish the steps of your plan.  Below are things you can do right now to grow your company the right way:

1.  Carefully thought out planning

By reviewing where your company is NOW against it's ideal scene you can draw a road map that arrives you to your goals.  You must consider how long you would like it to take to arrive at those goals, but once thats decided, a clear path can be drawn to those goals by listing out the steps it would take to get there.  

Where people fail while planning is when they don't really confront what it will take to fully handle a situation.  In order to overcome this in planning, one must do the necessary homework to really find out.  Once you are honest with yourself as to what it will take to reach your goals, planning becomes real and exciting to carry out.

2.  Staying the course

Communication is the key once planning has been activated.  Your level of communication in all areas of your organization will determine whether your plan stays on track or whether it and your company falls behind.

3.  Course corrections

If you really believe and trust your plan to be the way forward for your company, and if you move with great conviction and intention, right away you will notice push-back and efforts to knock you off your plan's schedule.  Using communication, you must quickly terminate efforts to take you and your company off course.  You must decide to commit to those things that will support your plan and carefully and efficiently remove distractions that take your company off-course from achieving the goals laid out in your plan.

By working on these three things:  carefully thought out planning, communication and focusing on only those things that will support your plan, your chances of reaching your company's goals become more real.
